Preseli Bluestone is a dolerite rock from The Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire, West Wales,. It is famous for being the stone that forms the inner circle at Stonehenge. Sue and Simon Lilly have written a book on this wonderful stone and have spent many years researching the energy at Stonehenge. I quote their words when they explain that Stonehenge is one of the most iconic and evocative symbols of Britain’s past. At its heart is a mysterious rock, Preseli bluestone, which was transported from West Wales and placed in the centre of this important site. Up to eighty monoliths of Bluestone may have been present at some periods of Stonehenge’s development, arranged and rearranged into different shapes and patterns.
My own journey with Preseli has been an interesting one. I treat the Preseli with the honour it deserves. The King of Stones (for me anyway). I have journeyed and connected with Spirit like with no other stone. I always take Preseli to the sacred sites here in Cornwall, for which we are blessed to have so many. Preseli helps me listen, really listen to the wisdom of our ancestors. I get a sense of a thousand hands pushing me forward, telling me to march on and to rise, to stand in my own power but more importantly, the message is of connection and community and love for all on this earth plane. The energy currents at Stonehenge connect us all.
