They’re back! Very excited to share these rare Isua tumbled stones from Greenland. These Isua stones are very good quality, a lot better in the flesh.
Isua has only recently been discovered and it is amongst the oldest stone that has ever been identified. It is over 3.75 BILLION years old 😮, it comes from the Archaean Eon which began about 4 billion years ago with the formation of the Earth’s crust and it extended to the start of the Proterozoic Eon 2.5 billion years ago.
The area in Greenland where the Isua Stone and Nuummite are found dates back almost four billion years and is known as the Isuakasia, this is where it is found, it is situated close to the Inland Ice Cap which is very difficult to access, for this reason, they are very rare and they will never become available in large quantities.
The Isua stone is believed to be 750 million years older than Nuummite!! That is crazy. I absolutely love getting lost in a timeline. I’m excited to see where the Isua takes me – back to ancestral roots of our beautiful planet I would’ve thought.
The price is for 1 stone. They measure approx 25 to 30mm.
