Description
An absolutely wonderful specimen of deep rich red Zincite from Poland. I’ve not seen a piece like this before. Very much sought after and highly collectable.
Taken from Minerals.net:
Crystals of Zincite are rare. When they do occur, they are in small pyramidal hexagonal crystals with a pointed termination on one end and a flattened base on the other end. Pyramidal faces tend to be horizontally striated. Crystals are usually associated with massive or grainy Zincite. Most crystals are crudely formed; well-formed crystals are very uncommon.
This piece weighs 265g – 70 x 60 x 45mm
