Embedded in this price are the trees, the critical people that plant and protect them, replanting if needed and the campaigning we do to inspire ever more people to fund planting. This means that when you donate to TreeSisters, you’re funding social change and ecological restoration.
80% of your donation directly funds our reforestation program – covering seeds, sapling growth and nursery costs, transport, planting, protection and monitoring, reporting and replanting if the first sapling fails in the tropics (fire, flood, drought, disease, grazing, crab predation) and the costs of due diligence, screening, auditing potential new projects, working with existing projects, reporting to the network etc.
15% funds our feminine empowerment and social change work: campaigning and outreach, awareness-raising, tree education, leadership training and network building in the global ‘north’ to grow the funding streams that restore more forest
5% supports TreeSisters core costs to curate and deliver the above

Cost per tree: 40p (95% funds charitable activities) – to cover payment processing fees and to make the most of the donation the price per tree is 0.85p.
