Hello - My name is Tanya, and Castle Rocks Cornwall is my dream come true. I’m pleased to meet you here. 

I live in the magical lands of Cornwall, England. The most southerly part of the UK. A stone’s throw away from an ancient monument site called Castle-an-Dinas. Looking closely at our logo, you’ll see how the settlement rings inspired the design.

I always knew I’d end up living in Cornwall. My best friend and I used to dream about owning a healing sanctuary, cafe and crystal shop. I now have that Crystal shop, and if you’re lucky, you might get offered a coffee ☕️ 😃

I’m an Aquarian Capricorn. Sun in Aquarius, and my rising and moon signs are Capricorn. I’m a mum of a 16-year-old and a puppy called Henry. First-time dog owner here! I’m a qualified psychotherapist, crystal healer, Reiki Master, and sound therapist. 
I live for music. I always have some sound playing. My favourite artist in the whole wide world is David Bowie, but my music tastes are very eclectic. I like most genres. I love the ocean but would much prefer to be surrounded by the tall ones. I prefer the woodland and country over the ocean. I enjoy the peace and quiet. 

I love a good, strong black coffee and have an unhealthy habit of watching trash reality TV 🤣. I love programmes like the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, The Last Kindom…anything Viking/Saxon related. I like to be taken away to different lands and times. I honestly don’t watch much TV at all. I enjoy early nights and early mornings. Watching the sunrise is the best part of the day for me. 

I love to learn new things, and I’m always asking the question why! 

My friends would say I can be very serious sometimes and often lack a sense of humour. I blame the Capricorn in me for that 🤣.

You may know me through my Etsy shop (Castle Rocks Cornwall Etsy). I also have a lovely brick-and-mortar shop in Ruthvoes, TR9 6HT. 

My main business is online. This is where I’m very comfortable (I love a bit of tech). I still run my Etsy shop; however, Etsy has recently raised its fees by 30%, and it’s becoming increasingly unsustainable. I’ll probably close it soon. I like to support people directly. Most people with an Etsy shop will also have a website, delve deeper, and buy directly. You’d support a small business that way and not give your money to greedy corporations. 

Running a business online has put me in touch with so many beautiful beings from across the globe. Every day, I speak to someone from a different country. I love it. Connection is key to living a happy, contented life.

I am passionate about sourcing unique, premium crystals and minerals and making them accessible to everyone. I take pride in ensuring that the crystals I bring to my shop are responsibly and ethically sourced. I lovingly handpick each and every one of them. A sourcing trip can take days! It is not an easy job, but I love it! 

My love of crystals and everything from Mother Nature plays a big part in my life. Crystals get me really excited. I thoroughly enjoy talking about them and sharing them with others. Whether from a metaphysical perspective or a geological perspective, I love it either way.

I’ve chosen to concentrate my efforts on selling crystals. Why? Because I LOVE it so much. It’s my true soul purpose. My testimonials and reviews can vouch for my passion for my customers and the crystals. I’ll go out of my way to accommodate any request. It is imperative that my customers are satisfied.

So, what happened in the last 30 years? I don’t want to scare you away too soon, so I won’t give you ALL the details, but we moved to Cornwall in 2005 after living and flying high in London! I used to work in telecoms in the early ’90s. I ended up in the media world, working in corporate publishing houses and media, finishing up as a financial negotiator for the BBC (so if you want a deal, be smart 🤣).

The lifestyle I’d become accustomed to in London was slowly killing me. I decided to pack my bags, sell up, and flee for the Cornish coast. It was the best thing I ever did. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret any of it. My past life experiences have made me who I am today. They’ve allowed me to help hundreds of people. I’m incredibly grateful for them.

When I arrived in Cornwall, I started working for a social enterprise, the Jamie Oliver Foundation. We helped disadvantaged young adults (16 to 24) to find employment by training them to be chefs. It was my responsibility was to look after their welfare and prepare them for the big transition into the world after they qualified as chefs.

Working with the apprentices taught me the importance of professional conduct and ethical responsibilities. So, I decided to study for a degree in counselling and psychotherapy. I started work at a private rehab centre here in Cornwall. It was the first place I got to incorporate my vibrational energy healing with my counselling skills. A lot happened between 2005 and 2012. It was in 2006 that I really started working with crystals. I completed several different courses on crystal healing. I finished a 3-year, hands-on ACHO-accredited diploma. I’m also a Usui Reiki Master and Sound therapist.

My new dream, one I’ve been seeding for quite a while, is where you find yourself. This new space, my website, is a place where I hope you’ll want to stay for a while. I hope this will become a place you want to visit often. I want the experience to be a nice one for you. Sit back and soak up the energy.
