A STUNNING genuine Greenland Cryolite tumbled stone, this one made even more interesting by the presence of rich brown Siderite crystals and flashy gold chalcopyrite. 

Cryolite and Siderite from Greenland is very rare, sourced almost exclusively from the world-famous Ivigtut Mine. Located in southwest Greenland, Ivigtut was the only major commercial source of Cryolite ever discovered and is now long closed, making material from this historic locality increasingly difficult to obtain.

Material from Greenland remains highly sought after, particularly as attractive polished pieces become increasingly difficult to source.
