Pietersite usually has great chatoyancy. Some hold a little bit of blue, but the majority will be gold. Pietersite is not Tigers Eye. It's a chalcedony-based stone, whereas Tigers Eye is a microcrystalline quartz. There is a difference.

Robert Simmons from The Book of Stones (a book I recommend) tells us that Pietersite creates a unified activation of the solar-plexus and third-eye chakras, engendering a powerful increase in the energy of the will and in one’s intuitive capabilities.
