These excellent-quality Preseli Bluestone necklaces are made with polished, round 10mm beads and sterling silver findings. Pale speckles and larger white patches stand out against the deep grey-green stone, with a different pattern on each bead.

I’m wearing both lengths in the photo so you can see how they sit. The 18-inch necklace sits higher at the neckline, while the 24-inch hangs lower over the chest. They can be worn on their own or layered as shown. I have three available in each length, and each necklace is sold individually.

The Stonehenge Connection

The Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire are the source of many of the smaller standing stones at Stonehenge. Among them is spotted dolerite, the same type of rock used for these beads. The pale markings you can see on the necklace are characteristic of this Welsh Bluestone, which was already being shaped into standing stones thousands of years ago.

Metaphysical Properties

In crystal practice, Preseli Bluestone is associated with grounding and a sense of connection to the land. Its link to Stonehenge makes it a meaningful stone to wear if you feel drawn to ancient landscapes or use sacred sites as a focus for meditation.
