This is a very special sphere from my own private collection, and one I have held onto because the formation inside it is quite exceptional. Clear, lightly Smoky Quartz surrounds a network of fine Black Tourmaline crystals, with golden Pyrite appearing to hold the whole internal formation together.

The clarity of the Quartz allows you to look straight into the sphere and follow the Tourmaline crystals as they cross through its interior. The Pyrite catches the light around the internal fractures and creates a golden framework, with small rainbow flashes appearing as the sphere is turned.

This is a genuinely rare combination of minerals, made even more unusual by the clarity of the Quartz and the way the inclusions remain visible throughout the polished sphere.

Crystal Composition & Energy:

Smoky Quartz is a naturally coloured variety of Quartz associated with grounding, stability and the release of heavy energy. Black Tourmaline is an iron-rich borosilicate mineral widely used for protection and strengthening energetic boundaries.

Pyrite is an iron sulphide mineral with a natural metallic gold colouring. It is associated with confidence, determination and abundance. Here, the Pyrite creates a beautiful golden contrast against the fine black Tourmaline and clear smoky body of the Quartz.
