This is a beautiful Ruby and Blue Kyanite heart with an exceptional amount of Ruby scattered throughout the polished blue matrix. In normal light, the Ruby appears in rich pink and burgundy tones. Under UV light, it fluoresces an intense bright red, revealing just how much Ruby is present within the piece.

Ruby’s natural fluorescence is caused by chromium within the crystal. A strong reaction like this is a lovely indicator of chromium-rich Ruby and is a feature collectors often look for in good-quality Ruby-bearing material.
